Tim O’Brien
Tim O’Brien started his cooking career twenty years ago during a two-year stint in Canada working as a ski instructor. Each night he would work in a local restaurant and upon returning to Australia continued with his career in hospitality. After working for The Keg Restaurant chain for ten years, Tim opened his first restaurant with partners in Mt Martha called Rocksalt.
After two years, he left Rocksalt behind to become sole owner of The Courthouse Restaurant in Berwick, where he lives. The Courthouse has been open for five years and has won an episode of ‘The Chopping Block’ TV show, Best Restaurant City of Casey/Cardinia 2008 and 2009, and has been voted top 4 in Regional Informal Dining in the Restaurant & Catering Awards of Excellence 2009.
