Cardinia Farmers’ Market
Ray Garrad from The Grayn Restaurant in Pakenham and Vikki Leng conducted Asparagus Cooking Shows at the Cardinia Farmers Market on Saturday 10th October. Some visitors had met us at the ABC Gardening Expo and made the pilgrimage to Pakenham to further their knowledge of asparagus and purchase more for their family meals. Vikki showed how well asparagus teams up with other locally produced goodies including Glen haven Hazelnuts, Tarago River Brie and Goat’s Cheese and Haunted Gully Olive Oil. Sue Hanen and family and Delma Hobson and family sold asparagus and once again the 500g bunches proved to be very popular with shoppers.
